Carelessly leaving my door open unattended is a bad idea as I would have no idea who and what will go into my house. It seems obvious that if I have to leave it open, I better be watching. If the dwelling becomes corrupted, it would take tremendous effort to fix it. It makes sense that I should keep it clean and maintain proper discretion, so that it is a suitable place to stay. Furthermore, if this dwelling is suppose to be holy, then I better treat it with reverence, which implies prudence and discretion.

The many things that I have seen, experienced, and done, are utterly meaningless without God. With God, all things are meaningful. And like God, the littlest thing is precious. To me, the little and every moments of life is something to rejoice for.

God work in us to will and to work, so that we may glorify him and love him as He has loved himself. When our time comes, that we shall return to Him. We should become an offering, the offering which is ourselves. By our work, we hope that this offering is a good offering, that we may be holy at the end. A holy gift for the holy One. Jesus tells us that our work should be prudent. God has given us desire, but when we are called to give up and detach from earthly desire, we must be able to turn the desires to God alone. It is right that we have desire since without desire there is not sacrifice.

Song

I have traveled great length, spent great effort, as least I thought so, just to end up being idle at the destination. Things I wanted to say, no longer comes to mind. Things I wanted to do, I no longer desire. It is a resting place, I need not do nor say anything. In silence, there are no misunderstanding, no contempt. Be attentive to the maestro, for rests are long to count. Let him dictate, for his way is the only way. Then I can play along to his silent love song that lasts forever.

Talk

How do we know we are not blankly echoing when we are speaking? In other words, do we say what we think, mean, and believe? When do words we learnt becomes our own? Often, words become a script. I suspect, we no longer speak from our heart, either because we are afraid, or we lose our awareness. Awareness of which life is ongoing, and that we are not some walking echoing machine. Words are living. Those words that does not come from the heart are dead no matter how sophisticated they sounded. However, those words that are spoken from and through hearts are ever living even if they are seemingly simple and repetitive.

Circle

I tend to talk in circle too much. Once it starts, it doesn't stop, like a wheel that keeps on rolling. A wheel is round like a circle, so it rolls, and rolls, until something stop it from rolling. Days are a bit circular in shape. Today I work, tomorrow I work again. Sometimes things repeat less frequently, but hopefully it is something good. Perhaps, it is just a déjà vu, but it might as well have happened. Days also swing like a pendulum. In some days, I watch paint dry. The next day, the wall gets vandalized. And the day after, I am back to watching paint dry. If you swing the pendulum hard enough, it goes full circle! We all walk in a strange path that would seem familiar to somebody. Not only you repeat your own path, you also repeat others' path. It is impossible not to repeat because we all walk in circle. Isn't predictability great? Knowing things feel powerful. Those who likes surprises may ask, What's the point then? Well, if a circle is small enough, do we n...
